Also called Barn art, the hex sign area includes all of Berks and Lehigh, and portions of seven adjacent counties. The heaviest concentrations are found in the area of Old Route 22-The Hex Tour Highway.

The only gallery in Hamburg, this display of local artistic talent is a direct result of the Hamburg Area Arts Alliance (in association with Our Town Foundation – Hamburg’s Main Street program). Originally occupying a much smaller space when it opened in June of 2007 (across the street from our current location), once the word got around, the Alliance’s membership numbers skyrocketed – jumping from around a dozen to now nearly seventy members. Of those, half have their work on display in the Gallery and interest keeps growing as local talent now appreciates having an affordable place for their art to be seen.

Our membership base runs from Reading to Schuylkill County, and west towards Lancaster. The Hamburg Area Arts Alliance has provided an opportunity for local, aspiring artists to get a foot in the door of the world of art.
